Awards

Miranda Miller met our Premier Gordon Campbell when she won the Premier's Athletic Award.  Miranda is the third Team Squamish member to receive this honour following Neal Kindree in 2005 and Meghan Kindree in 2007.

Sightings

Eden Imbeau met Ryan Leech at the Vancouver Bike Expo. Ryan is an accomplished trials rider.

      Mo Lawrence decided to volunteer at the Tour of Courage. The Tour of Courage is an event put on by Lance Armstrong to ride a set distance and to raise money for cancer research. Anyone raising over 10,000 dollars got to ride the 100km loop with Lance. Mo was volunteering on the course and at the start, so he was right there when Lance arrived. Lance's car pulled up and he quickly went around to the back of the tent to wait for his speech and rest. Nobody saw him go, and Mo followed him around back and got him to sign his jersey! Lance Armstrong is a huge role model for Mo, and he hopes to one day follow in his footsteps and make a career out of cycling.
